Purpose
The Mobile County Health Department, in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Alabama Department of Public Health, are teaming up to educate Mobile County residents as to the ill effects of secondhand smoke. The goal is cleaner air to breathe for everyone in all enclosed public places. After all, everyone has the right to breathe clean, smoke-free air.

The Mobile County Health Department obtained a $2.25 million grant from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the Alabama Department of Health as a part of a two-year campaign to educate residents about the risks and effects of secondhand smoke.
